Trebarwith Strand

rgee's picture

Trebarwith Strand is on the North Coast of Cornwall, near Tintagel and Boscastle. It's off the main road and down a short road to a cove type setting. There is a small community and a lovely pub just over looking the beach to go in to after your shoot. The beach is lovely at low tide and more interesting in my opinion at higher tides when the level reaches the interesting rock formations at the top of the beach. Very popular with Cornish/South West based and visiting photographers. As it's the North coast, sunsets are good to capture here. You get light reflecting off the rocks and wet sand making interesting shots. As it's a coastal, seascape, beach, seas type of image to shoot, I always recommend wearing some boots and a warm jacket in winter, or in the summer just bare feet and your boardies so when your sat in the pub afterwards your feet aren't soaking! Also, don't leave your tripod down there like I did once :(

Thanks for sharing. I agree with you about the location being more interesting at high tide and the pub is excellent too!
