Swanage Pier, Dorset

Pork's picture

Any time of day is worth a visit, sunrise or set, but also during the day to get some minimalist long exposures. Plenty of compositions can be found. Apart form the old pier, there is plenty to photograph on the new pier, and surrounding sandy beach with timber groynes jutting into the sea.

best outside diving season, as their pontoon is tied to it from Easter onwards - found out by visiting too late at end of April. Old Harry Rocks nearby (to north).
