Splash Point, Rhyl beach, Ddinbych, Denbighshire

First off, Check the tides! On a small-ish tide 7 meters, 2 hours after high water will get you some good shots at the breakers, with some being partially submerged.

Rhyl beach has been popular with tourist's for a long long time. The promenade used to be thriving but since the arrival of cheap package holiday's abroad, the area has declined. The beach however, hasn't changed much.

The sunsets are still superb. For sunrise you might need to walk a bit further around the corner towards Prestatyn.

Lots of old breakers, some of which you can get up on. Lots of rock pools and wildlife.

Plenty of places to eat and stay in Rhyl. Also the surrounding area has some brilliant photography locations.
