Rame Head, Plymouth, Cornwall

macuser's picture

Known as ‘Cornwall’s forgotten corner' Rame Head lies at the south-eastern tip of Cornwall, close to the mouth of the Tamar estuary. At this vantage point there is a fantastic panoramic view of the English Channel and back over Plymouth. The ruined chapel stands proud on the headland and provides an interesting subject both close up and far away. The surrounding scenery is excellent and can be enjoyed from an extensive coastal footpath. The picturesque village of Rame and the surrounding beaches are also worth visiting.
