Long Marston, airfield, Aircraft Graveyard

Flickr JRT's picture

On the site of Long Marston airfield is an abandoned aircraft museum. A few of the planes have been removed, however, a Shackleton remains amongst other things. This location is brilliantly suited to capturing star trails, lighting painting, and possibly for model shoots as well. It's worth a visit, however ask for permission from the security guard on the entrance.

If you have been to this location recently, please post a comment about the number of aircraft currently there.

This looks like an interesting place to visit - another one to add to my (growing) list!

called in at this location after a visit to Stratford, unfortunately the planes are behind security fencing except for one on the bank at the entrance and there was nobody around to ask about getting in closer to them.
