Kilve Beach

2Tubs's picture

Visit anytime but clearly you'd want the low sun for dramatic lighting.

At low tide you may want waterproof footwear (or footwear you don't mind getting wet), something sturdy on your feet to help you avoid slipping on the wet rocks.

Don't try climbing up or down the cliffs, they're clay and will break up under your feet.

And if you're there during the day, there's a listed ruin that has a tea room just on the entrance to the car park and beach.

When arriving at Kilve, look for the convenience store at the crossroads.  Turn alongside it for the road to the beach.  It turns into a bit of a track, is very narrow and not suitable for wide vehicles.  I drove down it in an MPV but wouldn't fancy it in a much larger vehicle.

Location is suitable for the following types of photography

Unnamed Road, Bridgwater TA5, UK

Unnamed Road
Somerset, England TA5
United Kingdom
