Commando Memorial, Spean Bridge, Scotland

stadds2's picture

The Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge is dedicated to those who trained in the area during World War II and is one of Scotland's best-known monuments. It does get busy in season with coaches and tourists, so best to arrive early/late in the day if you want isolation. If you wish to include the landscape, then avoid overcast/grey days. The winter and summer months regularly provide fantastic views of Ben Nevis and Aonach Mòr bathed in strong lighting. The location is quite isolated and is one of those places on the way to somewhere. However, on the right day well worth the effort.

There is a good car-park near the Monument and nearby a few B&B. Spean Bridge village is 5 minutes down the road.

Awesome post. Articles that have significant and smart contents are more enjoyable, in any event to me. It's interesting to peruse what other individuals thought and how it identifies with them or their customers, as their perspective could help you in the future. Go for this cheap essay writing service to having a wonderful assistant in writing and even you can get the guidelines too.
