Buttermere, Lake District

The photos below were taken from the South-Western corner of Buttermere. There isn't much in the way of car parking in the area, I had to park in a small lay-by and hike back to the location to get the shots. I would imagine the road gets quite busy during the summer months and places to stop are quite limited so be prepared to walk. The proximity of high mountains also means the weather can be changeable, I managed to get these shots in between showers, so go prepared for the weather.

There is a range of bus routes including an excellent circular bus route from Keswick which travels to Honister, Buttermere and Whinlatter if you want to explore without a car. https://www.keswick.org/visitor-information/gettingaroundkeswick
