Stratford upon Avon Literacy Festival

Celebrating its 9th year in 2016, The Stratford-upon-Avon Literary Festival is an exciting mixture of debate, ideas, celebrity author events, workshops and humour. Alongside this is a programme of education events in Stratford and local schools involving favourite authors, poets and illustrators, entertaining and inspiring children from 2 to 18.

Shakespeare Birthday Celebrations

The Shakespeare Birthday Celebration brings together organisations across Stratford-upon-Avon. Throughout the day community events and street entertainment will be taking place, organised by The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and the RSC. From 9:20am to 12:00pm the Birthday Procession will take place and the day's events will culiminate with Beating Retreat by the Band of the Corp of Royal Engineers in Henley Street. The event is free and open to everyone.

Stratford-upon-Avon Festival of Motoring

Following the success of the first Stratford Festival of Motoring over the May Bank Holiday weekend in 2013 we have decided to make this an annual event. The Festival will again take place over the May Bank Holiday weekend which for 2014 is Sunday 4th and Monday 5th May. Organised jointly by StratForward, (the town’s Business Improvement District) and Shakespeare Country, the event will see around 300 classic and special interest vehicles on display on the streets of Stratford upon Avon.
