This location offers some of the most dramatic mountainous scenery in the UK. A number of streams flow into Llyn Idwal from around Cwm Idwal. Lots of rapids and waterfalls so great for long exposure shots, especially after a lot of rain in the river.

A wide vista of the southern loch can be best seen from this location. To create a similar image you need a calm day, be there at sunrise, late autumn to early spring. The second image was taken early morning to the left of the Pier.

This location is on the shores of Wastwater. Netherbeck is one of the many streams flowing from the fells into the lake. The location is particularly special due to the photogenic bridge. I used the bridge to frame my composition.

Wastwater is the Lake District at its best. It's England’s deepest lake at 258 feet and lies in the Wasdale valley to the west of the National Park.

This location is the site of some old mine and quarry workings that have long since become overgrown. They provide a fantastic view over the Usk valley, primarily overlooking the village of Crickhowell and the town of Abergavenny to the south.
