Boscastle, North Cornwall

Boscastle can be a challenge to shoot. It's not your typical beach, rocks, sunset picture location. However, the sunset from the cliffs just past the harbour can be magical. Theres a small quay just in from the cove which could make some interesting shots with the boats. I think the quay at Boscastle in an early misty morning would be fun. Take some footwear suitable for walking cliff paths and some wellies if you want to play in the harbour at low tide! Theres a couple of nice restaurant/pubs too so you wont starve or dehydrate.

Lindisfarne Harbour

Lindisfarne, Holy Island is a photographer's paradise. Amongst the many locations around the island, the harbour is particularly unique. An array of large, upturned fishing boats line its beach. Now no longer seaworthy and used as work sheds for the small remaining seagoing fraternity, many of these boats were part of one of the largest herring fleets to sail off the east coast of England. An large assortment of fishing tackle is also scattered around the harbour, providing lots of interesting foreground subjects.

Langstrath

Follow the road down from Keswick to Borrowdale, past Derwent water, past the hotels.... and keep going. The land gets greener and the valley walls start to rise around you. The road narrows between the crowded cottages of Rosthwaite where parking can be found . Over a narrow stone bridge is the Cumbria way... turn right and keep walking. From here you can find paths to Seathwaite with its graphite mines, waterfalls and gorges, or to Great Gable - or even Scafell if the day is long enough.
