Quarr Hill, Near Bridport

After parking up, walk up the lane for about 50 yards then take the left track until you see the gate just in front of you, through the gate and you will see a path a few yards on your left follow the path as it winds around the hill giving a steady climb to the top. Once there you can carry on for a few hundred yards taking in the 360 degree views. You get an excellent view of Colmer's Hill for a sunrise and you might get lucky and get some mist in the valley.

Bradgate Park, Leicestershire

Bradgate park is an historic Mediaeval deer park in the heart of the ancient Charnwood Forest. One of my favourite places....but I pick my time carefully as it gets very busy and very noisy at times!!! It's worth getting there early for the sunrises. It's really hard to take a bad shot as there are so many subjects... water, ruins, wildlife etc etc. Grassy paths provide a variety of walks with views over nearby Cropston Reservoir and the city of Leicester.

Gloucester Docks

Gloucester is the most inland port in Britain. The docks are dominated by towering warehouses which stand proud along the water’s edge. Gloucester Docks has enjoyed a substantial facelift over the last few years, seeing new shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. There is something for everyone here, historic and modern architecture, marine vessels, historic industrial equipment and even street style photography.
