Whitsand Bay - East Cornwall
Whitsand Bay is pretty popular with local photographers as there's plenty of interesting rocks along the coast. It's a shallow beach so the tide flies in so you have to be careful not to get stuck! There's a campsite if you want or need to stay for the evening and bring suitable footwear for climbing over wet rocks and some wellies for the larger waves that come flooding in! The eastern side of the bay faces slightly more west so it has the light for longer however you don't always have to point to the sun at sunset. If your lucky the clouds will fill the sky with colour no matter which way your facing. Theres a good pub for some grub at Mount Edgcumbe near the Rame end of the Bay or there's a pub at Portwrinkle too but I haven't been in there yet.
