A famous Lake District location. Lots of midges and walkers in the Summer so a very early start recommended for this location, (try skin so soft by avon to try to repel the midges) It is at the very opposite end of the lake to the famous Buttermere pines, and about a mile walk from the car park, through several gates.

Visited a while ago with only my iphone, but still managed to take some decent shots. With so many lakes in close proximity I really recommend visiting the area. In addition to shots taken at the lakeside, the stone bridge next to the Bridge Hotel is also worth photographing.

Hi JollyJack,

I have taken the postcode from the Fish Inn, which is right next to the entrance to the carpark, that is ~~CA13 9XA which should get you there pretty well.

Hope you enjoy your visit there!

reading a lot of digital camera reviews and many are highly interested in shooting outdoors like this.
